1. Who we are

Afri Exports is an East African commodity export business with its head office at Chikongola, Mtwara, Tanzania. We operate this site (afriexports.com) as the company's main web presence alongside our three commodity storefronts. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Afri Exports.

2. The data we hold

This is a business-to-business site with no accounts and no checkout. The personal data passing through it is narrow:

• Details you type into an enquiry — your name, company, email, phone number, the commodities and volumes you are asking about, and your destination port.
• An email address, if you join the newsletter list for season alerts.
• Routine technical logs — IP address, browser type, referrer and page views — kept to run the site securely and understand which content is useful.

3. What we do with it

Enquiry data exists to move your enquiry forward. Concretely, we use it to:

• Reply with availability, indicative pricing and follow-up questions.
• Prepare contracts, invoices and shipping paperwork if an order follows.
• Send occasional season and availability notes to subscribers only.

Your details are never sold, rented or fed into advertising audiences.

4. Who else sees it

Fulfilment of an export contract requires sharing shipment-related details with the parties who execute it: freight forwarders and carriers, banks handling documentary payment, customs brokers, inspection and testing laboratories, and the authorities of the exporting and importing countries where the law requires it. Nothing is shared beyond that operational circle.

5. Where it lives

Records are kept at our Tanzanian office and on the infrastructure of our hosting and email providers, which may sit in other jurisdictions. Sending us an enquiry from abroad necessarily involves that cross-border handling.

6. Your choices and rights

Email contact@afriexports.com to ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, or come off the newsletter list — expect an answer within 30 days. Where stronger statutory rights apply to you (such as EU or UK GDPR rights), we honour them for the data we process about you.

7. Cookies

The site sets only what it needs to work, plus lightweight analytics to count visits. Blocking non-essential cookies in your browser will not break anything here.
